The walls of castles and manors can tell many astonishing stories and legends to those exploring our country with billowy meadows and fields and rustling forests, those wanting to learn more about the Lithuanian heritage.

The Lithuanian Castles and Manors Association was established in 2005 and connects natural and legal persons on a voluntary basis – the owners of Lithuanian castles and manors, managers and other individuals, who are taking part in the preservation of the cultural heritage of the Lithuanian castles and manors.

Castles and manors of Lithuania have long been important political, administrative and cultural centres. Naturally, the roads between them were constantly in use and the sound of horse hooves was very frequent. The nobles came to visit each other, and influential people gathered to solve important local or national issues.

Historically, the most prominent representatives of culture and art frequently visited and gathered at the manors – the centres of culture and education. Today, the halls of Lithuanian castles and manors are filled with the sounds of the most beautiful music concerts and other events.
